Amy comes from a family devoted to the practice of good health, as both her parents are successful naturopaths in Adelaide. Amy emigrated to Sydney in 2007 to study Chiropractic at Macquarie University. She graduated with a Master of Chiropractic in 2011. In 2012 she was snapped up by Central Sydney Osteopathy.

Alongside her chiropractic training, her history of working with physiotherapists and osteopaths since her undergraduate degree has allowed Amy to develop a dynamic, comprehensive approach to treatment. She works from a holistic understanding of the body, while accessing and utilising a strong evidence based approach.
At CSO, Amy combines her chiropractic knowledge with the osteopathic philosophy of the reciprocity of structure and function, so she adds  manipulation and soft tissue techniques such as counterstrain, inhibition, muscle energy techniques, to chiropractic techniques. To these she adds active release, deep tissue massage, dry needling and taping methods. Her knowledge of injury and surgical rehabilitation has come from working with physios for nearly 10 years.

Amy is small, but mighty. Don't be fooled! She has a keen interest in treating pain during pregnancy, as well as assessing and treating pain and dysfunction in post-partum women. She has just had her first bay so has lots of experience and advice to inform her practice. She has worked with Drummoyne Rugby Club and Drummoyne National League water polo, has played basketball at district level and touch football at state representative level. She enjoys keeping fit and active, and loves her work.

Amy also works alongside Mandy on their website Balanced Bumps. The website aims to share their collective knowledge and experience with pregnancy-related complaints. They provide information to help women understand what is going on with their body during pregnancy and what can be done to help; from pre-conception through pregnancy, labour, delivery and post-partum. Click here to find out more.
